About Early Kings

Early Kings is the first release of minimal experimental Jazz outfit Space Conspiracy.

Collaborating on This record is Jeff Price , Joe Velour, and Lou Caputo.  The group grew out of jams between Joe Velour and Jeff Price who recorded some compositions that ranged from early 70's soul funk, to minimal jazz.  After listening to the recordings it became obvious that something was missing.  The missing element of course was the sweet saxophone of Lou Caputo, who was busy putting out records of his Not so Big Band.  After a nice pre recording dinner, Lou did all of the recordings in one take and the music was complete.

Not jazz in the traditional sense, Space Conspiracy is a more minimal approach focusing one less harmonic movement, anymore on rhythm and melody.  Early Kings is available for free download on bandcamp through the store page.
